His Excellency Ambassador of Egypt in Spain, Youssef Mekkawy, invited us to a reception at his residence in Madrid to celebrate Egypt's National Day. He emphasized the strong relations between the two countries, and the Ambassador wished to commemorate July 23, 1952, as a day "for which all Egyptians will always be grateful, as it marks the date when Egyptians wanted to fight for their own destiny."
He spoke about the objective of strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador highlighted the visit of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Madrid in April 2022 as another example of the good relationship. He also referred to the relations between Spain and Egypt as a solid partnership where economic promotion is a priority.
Many Ambassadors from different countries carrying out their missions in Spain, as well as members of the Armed Forces, entrepreneurs, and friends who wanted to accompany him on this special day, attended the event.
